After years of uncertainty, postponements and several attempts to bring the reboot de The Raven, 1994 cult film with the late Brandon Lee protagonist, comes the announcement exclusively from The Hollywood Reporter on the start of filming for this new project.
The Raven tells the story of Eric Draven, a rock musician, brutally murdered together with his girlfriend Shelly who comes back to life on the anniversary of their death to take revenge for what happened.
According to the THR, Eric Draven will be played by Bill Skarsgård, known for his disturbing portrayal of Pennywise in the two chapters of It.
It would appear that the pre-production of the reboot of the great classic based on the 1989 James O'Barr comic is already under construction and is being directed Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Hunter, Ghost in the Shell) and the script Zach Baylin, Oscar nominee for KingRichard.
Shooting will start in June and will take place between Prague and Munich with a budget of around $ 50 million.
Rupert Sanders, the director, commented on the film:
the Raven is beautiful, dark, poetic and sometimes disturbing. It is a story of love, loss, pain and revenge.
