Remedies for folliculitis: how to say goodbye to red spots on the legs

There are many treatments to eliminate the red dots on the legs (obviously they also depend on the degree of infection). If you have folliculitis, forget to shave. Stop hair removal, every type from waxing to razor and give the skin of your legs a chance to regenerate. You can then choose a soothing product with active ingredients. You can choose an anti-inflammatory or antibiotic or antimicrobial cream. Very suitable for folliculitis are moisturizing and soothing creams to spread on the legs and antiseptic cream cleansers such as those containing chlorhexidine. If the folliculitis is superficial, natural remedies such as rice milk, zinc oxide and aloe vera are very useful, which decrease the discomfort and fight itching. Also try ice packs and very cold water which help soothe red and sore skin. There are also many herbs and plants that help us with their antibacterial and disinfectant properties to reduce the causes of pinpoint redness on the legs, such as garlic, thyme and oil of bergamot but also echinacea and hypericum oil. You can add a few drops to your moisturizer. However, it is better to use them moderately because the antibiotic and disinfectant action of these plants can cause, with intensive and continuous use, even serious undesirable effects for your health. Ask your doctor for an opinion! If you want to take care of your legs gently you can relieve itching with essential oils such as almond, coconut and Shea. Yes also a chamomile and compresses of honey that reduce discomfort and deeply hydrate the epidermis, giving you a pleasant sensation of freshness. You have to be patient but in a couple of weeks your legs will shine again. However, if the folliculitis is profound, the symptoms are strong and natural remedies are not enough: contact the dermatologist who will prescribe antibiotic therapy (usually drugs based on levofloxacin).
