Summer is now in full swing and, even with the due anticovid precautions, we are going to experience this time of year made of sun, sea, relaxation. The tan, conquered in small steps, gives our face a healthy allure giving us a charm a exotic.

Most of us girls tend to make up a little less face in the summer, to allow the skin to breathe freely and not to excessively clog the pores.

It must be said that the cosmetic companies have improved more and more giving life to light formulations that respect the natural skin transpiration while guaranteeing high performance in terms of yield. The choice of adopting a more or less natural make-up is in my opinion dictated by personal taste, by the need to express one's personality and look your best. I am part of that percentage that loves to wear make-up even in summer, but who don't like make-up on the beach!

My choice of shades is strongly influenced by the seasonal mood, leading me to wear more vivid colors, but always inspired by the colors of nature, the earth, the sea, the sky at sunset. As a true Red lipstick addicted, I alternate intense red nuances, which combine with an ultra light nude eye look with rose nuances that I associate with an intense eye make-up in the turns of gold, bronze of the color of the rug.

Today I will review Stoned Rose the lipstick from the "Kissing, fallen from the lipstick tree" line by Charlotte Tilbury, the brand created by the homonymous make-up artist of the models of Victoria Secret. The leitmotif of the make-up line is the use of sophisticated nuances in shades of pink, a color declined in all its possible variations that evokes the colors of the most classic lingerie.

The lipstick comes with a sophisticated packaging but essential, very chic as a whole. I really believe that elegance and class are the figures that characterize this make-up line. The lipstick comes wrapped in a metal casing rose gold color which refers by colors to the internal color of the product. The Stoned Rose shade is a sort of “closed” pink that contains caramel-colored shades inside. The texture of the lipstick is creamy and compact and guarantees several hours of prolonged hydration. Regarding the duration of the lipstick on the lips, I believe that it is not the main objective of the lipstick which, being super moisturizing, remains soft on the lips but does not ensure a very long-lasting performance. It can be easily remedied by bringing the product with you for any retouching. The consistency of the lipstick is super comfortable and the scent is slightly sweet but still delicate. The nuance, which veers towards terracotta tones, allows a good combination both with nude and daily make-up and with more sophisticated and evening looks. I find that a smokey eye made in shades of gold and plum enhances this nuance to the maximum (I used a palette from the “Smashbox” brand that features ultra-bright pressed glitter pods).

Final judgement: as a first experience with a product of the brand I can only feel extremely satisfied! The quality of the product is of a high level, the hydration performance is excellent and the yield on the lips is remarkable in terms of hold, taking into account the creamy texture.

I pass the Stoned Rose nuance with flying colors! Dress your lips just like a refined lingerie item!
