Olivia Newton John John Easterling

The husband of Dame Olivia Newton-John, John Easterling, wanted to pay tribute to the star of Grease after his death on Monday 8 August. The singer and actress, who played Sandy Olsson in the 1978 blockbuster, died, surrounded by friends and family, on her ranch in Southern California at the age of 73. Her husband was the first to announce the sad news of her, kicking off a series of tributes from stars, including the co-star of Grease, John Travolta, and Sir Elton John.

Lady Olivia was born in Cambridge in 1948, before moving to Australia at the age of 5. She played the shy and quiet Sandy in the film adaptation of the musical Grease (1978), alongside John Travolta. Prior to her starring role in the film, she represented the UK atEuro Vision Song Contest of 1974, coming fourth, in the year in which Abba won with Waterloo. She was a 4-time winner of the Grammy Award and has sold over 100 million records.

After a few days of mourning, John Easterling he felt it was the right time to pay homage to his late wife, whom he married in 2008 in an Inca rite. In a photo shared on Instagram wrote: "Our mutual love it transcends our understanding. Every day we have expressed our gratitude for this love so deep, so real, so natural. We never had to 'work on it'. We were in awe of this great mystery and we accepted the experience of our love as past, present and forever ”.

Olivia Newton John husband, dedicates her: "Her generosity eclipsed what is humanly possible"

He describes his wife as “one healer who used her means of singing, words, tact ”and as“ the woman more courageous I've ever known ". He concludes the homage thus: “The generosity with which he took care of people, nature and all creatures, eclipsed what is humanly possible. God's grace allowed me to share the depth of his being. In his most difficult moments he always had it spirit,humor , willpower to bring things to light. As her soul flies, the pain and holes in my heart are healed with the joy of his love".
