With a long-lived saga like that of James Bond that he saw alternating 6 different actors it is normal that a controversy arose among the fans about which performer was the best ever.

A new poll conducted by Radio Times, which involved over 14.000 fans of the famous film saga about the agent created by Ian Fleming, will perhaps set the record straight once and for all. Who was chosen as the best James Bond?

Well, to win over all the various Bonds it was Sean Connery, the first actor to take on the role for the first time back in 1962 with 007 - License to Kill and for 4 other films, among which we remember From Russia with love e Goldfinger mission. A predictable triumph, given that the Scottish actor is certainly the one left the most in the collective imagination.

The poll included several rounds that saw Connery win with 56% against Daniel Craig in the first match, while the second match saw Pierce Brosnan win against George Lazenby's with a majority of 76%. However, it was the third round that held the biggest surprise, and that was the defeat of Roger Moore against Timothy Dalton.

In the final challenge, Connery vs Dalton vs Brosnan, the first won with 44% of the preferences, followed by surprise by Dalton with 32% and finally by Brosnan with 23%.

Timothy Dalton's second place is particularly curious, given that the actor has played the role of the agent in only two films (in 1987 and 1989), while Pierce Brosnan he was the official face of James Bond in the 90s until 2002, after Daniel Craig took over.
