Adam F. Goldberg, mostly known as a screenwriter of the TV series The Goldbergs, returns to put meat on the fire on the much talked about 'sequel Goonies' topic.
As revealed by his Twitter post, Goldberg has a script ready for The Goonies 2, written by himself over the past 9 years. The coveted project is entitled The Goonies 2: Never Say Die and it should also have passed into the hands of Richard Donner (the director of The Goonies) to have his opinion. Unfortunately for Goldberg, however, the appointment was postponed due to the health emergency.

"I challenge Josh Gad as the number one fan of 'The Goonies'. For the past nine years, I've been secretly writing The Goonies Part 2 for fun. It is my masterpiece. I also had an important meeting with Richard Donner, which was canceled due to the lockdown! The Goonies 2 will happen as soon as everything is back to normal! I promise you! "
