Il Volo Saturday 5th June 2021 Arena di Verona tribute to Ennio Morricone, our rebirth begins thanks to an extraordinary event. Let's leave a devastating year and a half behind and immerse ourselves in the timeless music of Ennio Morricone together with the Il Volo group.

An evening to reconnect the threads of life that the pandemic dramatically cut a year and a half ago. An evening that allows us to breathe the air of an almost rediscovered normality. An evening that makes us close in a drawer, even if only for a couple of hours, all the anguish, pain and anger that the pandemic has produced in all of us in this long, interminable period. There could not have been a better way to give and give us a moment of wonderful, apparent serenity.

Il Volo and their splendid tribute to Maestro Ennio Morricone

The Flight

"The best project of our career". Gianluca Ginoble de Il He flewtogether with his 'colleagues' Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto, he defined the concert-event in honor of the maestro in this way Ennio Morricone, which on Saturday 5 June will open the 2021 season of the Verona Arena. "We are honored to be able to represent this rebirth, said Gianluca Ginoble. We want to remember the Master in the best possible way one year after his death". Maestro Ennio Morricone passed away on 6 July 2020.

"Finally we sing, adds Ignazio Boschetto, after a year and a half we couldn't take it anymore. Seeing all these people in maximum safety will be an emotion and the Arena is the safest place to do it". An exciting show that will be broadcast live on Rai 1 and which will see the extraordinary participation of the Maestro's son, Andrew Morricone. The ladder secret

The Il Volo trio keeps the evening's lineup closed in the drawer. It is not difficult to imagine, however, that their splendid voices will embrace the unforgettable melodies of the Maestro. Then a journey through time will begin that will take us back 50/60 years. A journey through time through the masterpieces of cinema that have become timeless artistic masterpieces also thanks to the wonderful soundtracks of Ennio Morricone. Listening to those notes, in our memory, the faces of Clint Eastwood, Claudia Cardinale, Monica Bellucci, Stefania Sandrelli, Robert De Niro, Burt Lancaster, Salvatore Cascio, Philippe Noiret, Ugo Tognazzi, Romy Schneider and still many, many will begin to emerge. great actors.

For each of them, for each of them personal moments within those films extraordinary, Ennio Morricone has created musical gems unique. Paintings painted with the seven notes, perfect portraits in motion. No composer, in the very long history of cinema, has had such a profound impact on the success of the films he wrote the soundtracks as the Roman genius, of Ciociarian origins (his parents were originally from Arpino, in the province of Frosinone). Yet there have been many great composers lent to the cinema.

Ennio Morricone, with his music, has given life to a new genre: the Classical Music of Cinema. that music that, generation after generation, will be recognized always and everywhere. With Ennio Morricone every single note creates a perfect symbiosis with every single frame of the film. With Ennio Morricone, music becomes the protagonist of the film, never a co-star like and before after him. Here the great revolution of Ennio Morricone was born and here is its absolute Uniqueness.

Il Volo, the indelible memory of an incredible experience

In this magical context, there is also space for a memory that unites the young members of the trio with Maestro Morricone. A memory that time will never erase and that has to do with La Sinfonietta, the Maestro's orchestra, with which the trio had the opportunity to perform as early as 2011. A moment of life, human and artistic, indelible, also accompanied by a funny anecdote: "When we shared the stage in Piazza del Popolo we were 16, recalls Gianluca Ginoble, we were naive. During the rehearsals with his Sinfonietta, the teacher gives the attack and I don't start. Total panic, Morricone turns towards us, I look at him: 'So you give me the attack, I tell him by calling him tu. The first violin whitens, and he to me: 'Don't worry, guys, I'll take care of it "

This anecdote and the words spoken by the Maestro would be enough to make us understand who Ennio Morricone is, a gentleman of other times, extraordinarily human and brilliant. Why did I write who Ennio Morricone is and not who he was? Because ART is IMMORTAL as well as the ARTIST who created it. So let's mark the date of June 5th in red on our calendars. If we all dream of getting out of this long pandemic nightmare, there is no better way than to DREAM on the notes of Maestro Ennio Morricone through the voices of Il Volo. And may the dream begin and never end ...
