Special surveillance (Lock Up) is a 1989 film directed by John Flynn, starring Sylvester Stallone.




The film was produced as a collaboration between White Eagle, Carolco Pictures, and Gordon Company. Shooting for the film lasted about three months, from February 6 to May 20, 1989.

The budget for the film is approximately $ 24.000.000.  There are two soundtracks for the film: Vehicle, written by Jim Peterik and sung by The Ides of March, ed Ever Since The World Began, again written by Jim Peterik with Frankie Sullivan, and sung by Jimi Jamison.




TRAILER AND PLOT

The forty year old Frank Leone, a model prisoner who has just returned from an award license spent with his girlfriend Melissa, is now close to his final release, when he is taken from his cell at night and transferred to another prison, much harsher and directed by the ruthless Warden Drumgoole. He hates him and does everything to make his life impossible.

THE TRIBUTE TO CHUNK WEPNER

Chuck Wepner, born Charles Wepner, is a former American boxer.

Dubbed the Bayonne Brawler (“The Bayonne scammer”) e the Bayonne Bleeder ("The bloody of Bayonne") he was a boxer of moderate fame and imposing physique. He is remembered above all for having inspired the character of Rocky Balboa to a novice Sylvester Stallone as an actor and screenwriter, for this reason he is also known as the "True Rocky".




In this film he played the part of an inmate in the prison. Sly greeted Wepner and told the other inmates that Wepner was the "Real Rocky". Initially Sylvester Stallone had created a character called "Chink Weber" for Rocky II (1979), which was to be played by Chuck Wepner. But the character was deleted from the script. So Stallone reused the name "Chink Weber”For the screenplay for this film, entrusting the part to Sonny Landham.
