The most famous TV talk show has reached an extraordinary milestone

How many late evenings spent in front of the TV, which were then pleasantly slipping towards late nights that had the only sound of the voices of its guests. Every evening the Parioli Theater became a stage where humanity showed itself. All and in its total diversity. Famous people crossed their stories with people who told their daily life made up of joys and pains, injustices and glimpses of peaceful coexistence. At least two generations have grown up seeing on the Fininvest networks first, which later became Mediaset, The Maurizio Costanzo Show.

From that 14 September 1982, together with the lights of the cameras, tens of thousands of voices came on that after forty years we remember almost one by one. Because they entered our homes and, thanks to Maurizio Costanzo, those stories have also become a bit ours.

The celebrations start

If we wanted to draw up a list of the many names who sat on the chairs and sofas of the Parioli stage, we would create a very long, infinite list. Thursday April 28th, in the late evening on Channel 5, the first episode of the program's forty years will be broadcast. On stage many guests, including Michele Santoro, with whom Maurizio Costanzo shared one of the most important and emotionally engaging pages of television as a public service.

It was the 26 September 1991 when Maurizio Costanzo organized, in co - conduct with the journalist from Salerno, a special evening dedicated to Fat Free, businessman killed by the mafia a few weeks earlier. On stage the presence of important guests, among which the figure of the judge stood out Giovanni Falcone, who would later find his death, again at the hands of the mafia, in the massacre of Capaci, dated 23 May 1992.

Maurizio Costanzo e the story of our history

Forty years is a long time. Italy has changed and the world has changed. On that stage, actors, journalists, men of culture, scientists, artists and ordinary people through their stories, their words, their emotions have told about those changes. When we went to school many of us had perfectly hidden in different bags Cirannini. For the youngest we remember that they were splendid little books that were a perfect compendium of the most difficult subjects.

The Greek, the Philosophy, the Mathematics, had no more secrets for the students. The Maurizio Costanzo Show could be defined as a Cirannini on television of the last four decades. A profound and exhaustive compendium of the historical, political, economic and social changes of those years. Much more than a simple talk show and much more than those that fill today's schedules. Those talks Maurizio Costanzo he willingly leaves them to others, because only he has the Maurizio Costanzo Show.
