"When I posted that tweet in the past few days, I wanted to show my support to our friends and communities of color during this very difficult time, but the responses I received about what I wrote made me reflect on how other members of the cast (of Glee) sensed my behavior towards them. Even though I don't remember ever doing what was written and even though I've never judged anyone by their background or the color of their skin, that's not the point. What matters is that I acted in such a way as to hurt other people. "
