Many will be wondering what it has to do with it Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William and Princess of Wales, with Citadel, the new success signed by Amazon Prime which would also seem very far from his tastes. In reality the link is based on a misogynistic and sexist remark uttered during the third episode of the first season. The statement would connect Kate with Priyanka Chopra, two women who are actually already very distant due to the actress's friendship with Meghan Markle, Kate's sister-in-law with whom the Princess doesn't have a good relationship.
Kate Middleton Citadel: "Between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge"
La sideswipe, not very veiled, against Kate Middleton appeared in the third episode of the first season of Citadel: "Between the legs of the Duchess of Cambridge“. First, it must be remembered that the series was filmed before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, therefore Kate's title was not yet that of Princess of Wales but that of Duchess of Cambridge. Also, to make matters worse is the link between Priyanka, the undisputed protagonist of the series, and Meghan Markle.

Needless to say, the sentence against William's wife immediately went viral on Twitter. Many have called it "vile", one fall of style for the writers and by extension also for the cast of the series. The attack on Kate Middleton doesn't seem to be random at all because of the link between Chopra and Markle: "With all the people who could be referred to for the joke, Kate was chosen," wrote one user in a tweet. However, no one has come forward about it, nor is Nick Jonas' wife.
